Worst Toys for Infants

Many parents are skeptical of toy recommendations made by experts or friends, preferring to do their own research before spending money on a toy. Here are five of the worst toys for infants:

1. Balls and other bouncy toys. These objects can be dangerous if they’re knocked over or if they become stuck in a baby’s mouth or nose. Plus, they tend to be boring after a while.

2. Dolls with sharp accessories. This includes anything that could be used to stab or cut the child, such as knives, swords and needles. These dolls can also pose a strangulation hazard if the child hangs onto them tightly.

3. bright colors and patterns. These can be stimulating to a baby’s developing senses, but they also can lead to eye fatigue and other problems.

4. loud noises. These can cause babies to cry for hours on end, leading to sleep deprivation and other problems.

5. choking hazards. Anything that could obstruct an infant’s breathing, such as rings or pacifiers, should be avoided at all costs.
